FIRST IPL HAT-TRICK
While playing for Chennai Super Kings, Lakshmipathy Balaji claimed the first-ever IPL hat-trick in 2008. He took five wickets in a game against Kings XI Punjab, which included a hat-trick in the last over of the game.
MOST HAT-TRICKS IN IPL
Amit Mishra has taken a record three hat-tricks in IPL. His first hat-trick came for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in IPL 2008. Second, while playing for Deccan Chargers in IPL 2011. His third hat-trick came for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2013
TWO HAT-TRICKS IN SAME SEASON
In 2009, Yuvraj Singh became the only cricketer in IPL history to claim two tat-tricks in the same IPL while playing for KXIP. His first liat-trick was against Royal Challengers Bangalore and the other one against Deccan Chargers.
NO HAT-TRICK IPL SEASONS
No hat-tricks were seen in the IPL season 2015 and IPL season 2018.
HAT-TRICK AND 100 IN IPL
Rohit Sharma is the only Indian player to have taken a hat-trick and scored a hundred in the IPL In 2009, while representing Deccan Chargers, Sharma took a hat-trick against Mumbai Indians. In 2012, he scored his maiden IPL century off 52 balls against KKR.
