ATGM (OCTOBER 1) 

Indigenously developed laser-guided anti-tank Missile(ATGM) test-fired from an MBT Arjun Tank in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. According to the Defence Ministry, the missile employs a tandem heat warhead to defeat explosive reactive armour protected armoured vehicles in ranges from 1.5 to 5 km.

Shaurya (OCTOBER 3) 

DRDO successfully test-fired indigenously developed hypersonic nuclear-capable Shaurya missile, an advanced version of Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) K-15 (B-05). The 10-metre-long missile has a strike range of around 800 km.

SMART (OCTOBER 3) 

DRDO successfully flight tested its indigenously developed ART torpedo system. SMART is a missile assisted release of lightweight anti-submarine torpedo system for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations far beyond the torpedo range.

Rudram-1 (OCTOBER 9)

Prithvi-2 (OCTOBER 16) 

India successfully conducted another night trial of its nuclear-capable Prithvi Ll missile as part of a user trial for the armed forces from a test range in Odisha coast. The liquid-propellant can carry a 1-tonne warhead.


BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile (OCTOBER 18)
