During the IPL 2010 final, MI needed 55 off 18 balls to win the match. Kieron Pollard smashed 22 runs in the 18th over threatening CSK to take the game away. Dhoni strategically placed ML Hayden at the edge of the circle at mid-off and that's where Pollard was caught out in the 19th over. This led CSK to win their first IPL crown.

NEUTRALISING GAYLE STORM

In the IPL 2011 season, Chris Gayle was storming boundaries and was unstoppable. During the final, CSK posted 205 runs against RCB and Gayle was the man who was standing between them and the title.
